San Diego
San Diego really surprised us! We had preconceived ideas of what San Diego would be like and boy were we wrong! The collision between desert and ocean was truly stunning!
Sue, Rocky and their little hunny bunny pup Maple were such wonderful hosts! Maple and Gary loved each other (once Maple tuned him in a few times so he learned how to play with her haha). The boys loved staying at their place! Scootering on their cement pad, picking oranges and making fresh orange juice, and a highlight for the boys… getting to ride in Rocky’s hunting Jeep! Finishing off the trip with a beautiful birthday dinner for Sue, and getting to meet their friends and family was just such a wonderful end to our visit there! Thank you for the hospitality you showed us, guys!

LEGOLAND!!! This was a core memory for Hugh for sure, he truly loved it so much and was just such a gem all day. Very appreciative and just THIS IS SO COOL AND AWESOME all day. Waylon was still a little young for the experience, but I think overall he had fun!

Declan was able to do the submarine ride with us! All the other rides we had to child swap. He was absolutely mesmerized by the lights and fish!

Visiting La Jolla was an awesome day! It was our first real chance to go in the ocean and the boys were PSYCHED… well not so much Percy haha he was scared, but the older boys! The sea lions were adorable and the sun was shinning!
The day we were supposed to leave, we woke up to our fridge not working! So Clarence spent the morning scouring the manuals and getting the fridge going (and he did, yay!) so we spent the day playing in Sue and Rocky’s yard, getting a family photo, and putting together all the lego we “accidentally” bought at legoland …oops. haha
